He Will Set His Feet Again

The scene is burned into history —
the disciples standing wide-eyed, mouths parted in wonder, hearts pounding,
watching Yeshua ascend into the skies.
They strained their necks, staring upward into the widening blue,
the place where heaven seemed to peel back its veil.
But then—
the voice of angels cuts through the wonder.
“Galileans, why are you standing there looking into the sky?
This Jesus, who was taken up into heaven from among you,
will return in the same way as you saw Him go to heaven.”
(Acts 1:11, paraphrased)
The return was already written.
The place was already chosen.
The promise was already anchored.
Where would He return?
The Mount of Olives—
that same hill, brushed by the footsteps of the Son of God.
Long before the disciples watched Him rise,
long before the Roman empire flexed its strength,
the prophet Zechariah saw it in the Spirit:
“On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
east of Jerusalem.
And the Mount of Olives will split in two from east to west,
forming a very great valley,
with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south.”
(Zechariah 14:4)
A fracture in the mountain.
A tearing open of the earth itself.
A sign that Heaven is no longer distant.
⸻
A Hidden Tapestry of Time
Consider the glory:
The very soil that received the imprint of His sandals before the crucifixion
will again feel the pressure of His coming feet.
The Mount of Olives witnessed His agony,
where His sweat became like drops of blood.
It will one day witness His triumph,
when the King returns—not in weakness, but in unstoppable glory.
The Mount that heard His prayers in trembling
will soon hear the trumpet blast that shakes every kingdom to its knees.
The soil that absorbed His grief
will split in surrender to His authority.
He wept there.
He will reign there.
⸻
The Divine Symmetry
Nothing God does is random.
Nothing is coincidence.
His ending echoes His beginning.
He leaves from the Mount of Olives.
He returns to the Mount of Olives.
But when He returns, it will not be the gentle Galilean carpenter.
It will be the roaring Lion, the Commander of Heaven’s Armies.
The mountain will split as if creation itself must move aside
to make way for its Creator.
The valley formed will be more than geography—
it will be a divine corridor,
a visible rupture in time and space,
declaring that the old is gone and the Kingdom is here.
⸻
The Mount of Decision
There is a stirring in the Spirit even now.
For each of us, the Mount of Olives is a mirror—
a place of decision.
Will we watch from a distance,
or will we prepare our hearts for the King’s return?
He is not waiting for a world that is ready.
He is coming to ready the world by His coming.
Are you watching with wonder?
Or standing with hearts anchored in heaven’s certainty?
⸻
Declarations
I declare that the promises of God are sure, anchored outside of time.
I declare that I prepare my heart daily for the coming of the King.
I declare that I am not rooted in the shakable kingdoms of this world, but in the unshakable Kingdom of God.
I declare that every fracture the Lord brings forth will make way for His glory in my life.
I declare that I will stand as a watchman, waiting not in fear, but in fierce hope.
⸻
Prayer
King of Glory,
You have written every moment with eternal precision.
Today, stir my heart to live in the light of Your return.
Teach me to look up, not in fear or confusion,
but with the unwavering trust of one who knows that You are faithful.
Let me prepare the way with my life,
my heart trembling not in terror, but in holy awe.
Split open whatever must move in me, Lord.
Create in me a valley where Your Spirit can flow freely.
I yield to Your timeline.
I fix my eyes not on the clouds alone,
but on the certainty that You are coming again.
In the mighty name of Yeshua,
Amen.

Final Thought
The story is not waiting to be written—
it has already been spoken.
The Mount stands ready.
The sky waits for the trumpet.
And somewhere deep inside you,
the Spirit stirs:
“Prepare, beloved. The feet that once ascended
will soon touch down again.”
Will He find you watching,
or will He find you wondering?
Live today like you believe He is closer than ever.
⸻
Prophetic Activation: Standing on the Mount of Promise
Find a quiet space where you can be still and undistracted.
Close your eyes and take a few deep, slow breaths, allowing your heart to quiet before the Lord.
Now, ask the Holy Spirit:
“Take me in the Spirit to the Mount of Olives. Let me see through Your eyes.”
Imagine yourself standing on the ancient stones—
the soil beneath your feet trembling with expectation.
You are not a bystander.
You are part of His unfolding story.
Hear the question in your spirit:
“Are you ready for My return?”
Let the Holy Spirit show you anything that needs to be surrendered, pruned, or strengthened.
Don’t rush.
Wait and listen.
Then, declare aloud (even if it’s just a whisper):
“I stand as a watchman.
I am rooted in Your coming.
I live prepared, alert, and alive.”
Stretch out your hands as if you are holding something unseen.
The Lord is placing a torch of readiness, a lamp of holy fire, into your grasp.
Feel the weight of it.
It’s not heavy—it’s filled with His joy.
Now pray:
“King Yeshua,
I am here.
Mark me as one who watches,
one who waits,
one who burns bright.
Let my life be a living invitation
for You to return.”
Sit for a moment longer.
Let the vision sink into your spirit like seed into fertile ground.

Optional Writing Prompt
Afterward, take a few minutes to journal your impressions:
• What did you see?
• What did you feel?
• What did the Lord whisper to your heart?
Every impression matters.
Even if it seems small, it is the beginning of a deeper unfolding.
⸻
Final Charge
You are not waiting on history.
History is waiting on you.
The King will set His feet on the Mount once more—
and may He find your feet already anchored in readiness.
Arise, beloved.
Arise, watchman.
Arise, living flame.
The mountain is trembling already.
