Just You Wait and See — The Smile of God

“What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived—the things God has prepared for those who love Him.”

1 Corinthians 2:9, NIV

When God Smiles at You

It’s not always loud.

It doesn’t always arrive with thunder or lightning.

Sometimes, it comes quietly—

A smile. A knowing. A breath from Heaven that leans in and whispers:

“Oh, just you wait and see…”

This is not the smile of distance or disinterest.

It is the smile of intimate delight,

of a Father who sees the full picture while you’re standing in the middle.

It’s the smile of One who knows what’s coming—

and can’t wait for you to see it too.

That smile?

It’s prophecy in motion.

A silent Selah from the throne that says:

“You have no idea how good this gets.”

The Smile That Carries a Thousand Promises

It’s the same smile that hovered over Abraham as he counted stars he couldn’t number.

The smile that lingered over Ruth before Boaz ever noticed her gleaning.

The smile that stood in the fire with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego—knowing the flame would not finish them, but forge them.

The smile that watched Peter sink and rise again.

The smile that wept over Lazarus’ tomb—right before resurrection arrived.

It’s the smile of the One who already knows how your story ends—

and calls it glorious.

“Oh, Just You Wait and See…”

You’ve questioned the timing.

You’ve doubted the direction.

You’ve wondered why the delay.

But the smile of God doesn’t rush to explain.

It simply leans in with eyes full of fire and tenderness and says:

“Oh, just you wait and see what I have planned for you.

You think I’ve been silent—I’ve been setting the stage.

You think I’ve been withholding—I’ve been weaving the masterpiece.”

You’re not waiting for something random.

You’re waiting for something crafted.

He’s not improvising—He’s orchestrating.

And right now, He’s smiling.

When the Smile Is the Seed

Sometimes He doesn’t give the whole plan.

He just gives a moment.

A moment where you feel the warmth of His presence.

Where peace fills a room without explanation.

Where something inside your spirit leaps like it knows more than you do.

That moment?

That’s the smile of God being planted like a seed in your soul.

Not to tease you.

But to prepare you.

To awaken your holy anticipation for what’s coming.

Because Heaven doesn’t forget the dreams you’ve buried.

It just waits until resurrection is the only explanation.

I HEAR THE SPIRIT SAY:

“I smile over you not because you’ve earned it,

but because you’re Mine.

Not because you’ve arrived,

but because you’re becoming.

Oh, just you wait and see…

The doors you thought were closed are becoming thresholds.

The prayers you thought I ignored are echoing back in sudden answers.

The things you gave up on—I never did.

I’ve prepared something too beautiful to rush.

Too sacred to explain prematurely.

You’ve trusted Me in the silence.

Now watch what I do in the unveiling.

Let the smile be your sign:

I’m not done.

I’m just getting started.”

DECLARATIONS FROM THE SMILE OF GOD

I declare, according to 1 Corinthians 2:9:

What God has prepared for me goes beyond imagination. I live with eyes lifted, heart open, and expectation stirred. The best is not behind me—it’s being unveiled before me.

I declare, according to Jeremiah 29:11:

God’s plans for me are good—plans for a future filled with hope, purpose, and peace. I align with His smile, even when I don’t yet understand His steps.

I declare, according to Psalm 31:19:

How great is the goodness You have stored up for me, Lord—goodness I have yet to see but will surely walk into.

I declare, according to Zephaniah 3:17:

The Lord rejoices over me with gladness. He sings over me. His smile surrounds me like a song in the spirit.

I declare, according to Romans 8:28:

Everything is working together for my good. What I don’t understand today will make sense when the promise unfolds.

PRAYER FOR THE ONE WHO DARES TO BELIEVE

Father,

Thank You for the smile I can’t always see but can still feel.

Thank You for the silent assurance that You are working—

even when the landscape looks barren.

Let me lean into the smile.

Let me trust the whisper.

Let me walk forward, not needing every detail,

but holding tight to Your delight in me.

I know You’ve gone ahead.

I know You’ve prepared the way.

And I know—oh, I know—

that what’s coming will make every tear, every waiting season, every prayer worth it.

So I’ll wait with wonder.

And I’ll walk with fire.

Because You’ve smiled…

And that changes everything.

In Yeshua’s name,

Amen.

FINAL THOUGHT — The Smile Is the Signal

The smile of God doesn’t promise ease—

It promises glory.

It doesn’t answer every question—

It answers the real one: “Am I still with you?”

Yes.

Absolutely.

Undeniably.

He’s not just with you—He’s smiling over you.

So when you don’t have the roadmap,

when the future feels foggy,

when the dream seems distant…

Remember His smile.

And just you wait and see.

You haven’t seen anything yet.
