There are some people God assigns to the high places.
Not for glory.
Not for recognition.
Not for comfort.
But for warfare.
For strategy.
For Overwatch.
These are the ones positioned on the walls, the ones stationed in the spirit, the ones who see before others see, hear before others hear, and move before others know to move.
They are the watchmen, the sentinels, the ones who do not sleep when the battle rages.
They do not operate in the realm of normal.
They do not rely on earthly wisdom.
They do not ask permission to do what God has already commanded.
They move with heaven’s authority.
They act on heaven’s intelligence.
They execute heaven’s agenda.
And because of that—
They are often misunderstood.
THE ONES WHO SEE BEFORE OTHERS SEE
The prophet Elisha saw what his servant could not.
The army of Aram surrounded them, ready to destroy them, and fear gripped the heart of the one who could only see with natural eyes.
“What are we going to do?” the servant cried.
But Elisha—calm, unwavering, unshaken—prayed one thing:
“Lord, open his eyes.”
And suddenly—reality shifted.
The servant’s vision was unlocked.
He saw what had already been there all along.
The hills were filled with horses and chariots of fire—heaven’s army standing ready (2 Kings 6:15-17).
The ones in Overwatch see what others don’t.
They walk into rooms and sense atmospheres shifting.
They hear in conversations what is not being said aloud.
They discern the weight of spiritual battles before they manifest in the natural.
They see before others see—
And because of that, they move before others move.
THE ART OF DIVINE POSITIONING
The ones in Overwatch are positioned strategically.
They are not on the frontlines where the noise is loudest.
They are not in the crowds where the distractions are endless.
They are above—on the high places, in the unseen places, where the entire battlefield can be surveyed.
Because battles are never won from the ground level.
They are won from above.
In Overwatch, you are not just fighting—you are watching, anticipating, discerning.
You are not just reacting—you are orchestrating, aligning, and executing the will of heaven on earth.
This is why you feel different.
This is why you think differently.
This is why you see things before they happen.
You were not made for ground-level thinking.
You were not designed to blend into the battle as a mere soldier.
You were created for Overwatch.
To guard what is sacred.
To watch over the people and places God assigns you.
To stand on the walls, awake while others sleep, eyes sharp while others are blind.
You are not normal.
And that is by design.
THIS KIND OF CALLING COMES WITH COSTS
Overwatch warriors carry a burden others do not.
You will feel the weight of things long before anyone else does.
You will fight battles in prayer that others won’t even realize exist.
You will stand alone when no one else understands what you see, what you hear, what you know.
And that will be hard.
Because revelation is lonely.
Because vision is isolating.
Because when you see what is coming, but others refuse to listen, it takes supernatural endurance not to break under the weight of knowing.
But listen—
You were not built to break.
You were built to stand.
To warn.
To pray without ceasing.
To war with precision and power.
And when others panic—
When others flinch—
When others doubt what they cannot yet see—
You will remain unshaken.
A PRAYER FOR THE SENTINELS
Father, I take my position.
I will not shrink back.
I will not question why You made me this way.
I will not doubt what I see, what I hear, what I know deep in my spirit.
I declare that my eyes are open.
My mind is sharp.
My spirit is tuned to the frequency of heaven.
I am awake when others sleep.
I see when others are blind.
I hear the whisper of Your voice above the noise of the world.
I will not be intimidated.
I will not be silenced.
I will not second-guess the discernment You have placed in me.
I take my stand on the walls of intercession.
I position myself in the high places.
I operate from Your vantage point, not earth’s.
And I decree that nothing will pass through my territory without first passing through me.
I am a guardian of my family.
I am a protector of my city.
I am a warrior for the Kingdom.
I declare this in Jesus’ mighty name.
Amen.
A FINAL WORD: THE WATCHERS WILL NOT BE MOVED
The battle is intensifying.
And God is calling the watchers, the intercessors, the sentinels into position.
Some will not understand you.
Some will mock what they do not perceive.
Some will question your intensity, your fire, your absolute refusal to live at ground level.
But do not waver.
You were not made to fit in.
You were not called to be understood.
You were born to watch, guard, and war from the heights.
This is your confirmation.
Stand up.
Take your position.
Do not be moved.
Overwatch is awake.
And the Kingdom advances through those who refuse to sleep.
