“State Your Position” — The Invitation Hidden in the Argument

There are scriptures we read casually and scriptures that arrest us mid-sentence. Isaiah 43:26 is one of those divine interruptions. It is not just a courtroom image—it is a cosmic invitation. It is not only God allowing us to speak—it is God requesting that we do.

“Remind Me [of your merits with a thorough report],

let us plead and argue our case together;

State your position, that you may be proved right.”

(Isaiah 43:26, AMP)

Let us take this verse apart—not to dissect it, but to discern the heartbeat of God beneath every phrase, every word, every sacred breath.

Context: A Divine Courtroom Scene

Isaiah 43 is one of the most powerful redemption chapters in all of scripture. God reminds Israel of who He is: the One who created them, called them by name, walked them through fire, and paid a price for their return. He declares their worth, not based on performance, but on covenant. And yet, even after detailing all He has done, the tone shifts in verses 22–28.

God begins to recount how His people have not called on Him, have grown weary of Him, and have not honored Him with offerings. And then—suddenly, as if to pause His own righteous indictment—He says:

“Remind Me…”

What kind of God invites us to argue our case?

Only a Father whose mercy burns hotter than our failings.

Only a King who wants to rule with us, not without us.

Only a Judge who desires redemption, not condemnation.

Hebrew Word Study: “State Your Position”

The Hebrew phrase used for “state your position” comes from the root word:

סָפַר (saphar) — to declare, recount, or take account of; also tied to writing or inscribing something.

Another critical word here is:

צֶדֶק (tsedeq) — righteousness, justice, right standing.

It is as if God is saying: “Tell Me your accounting. Rehearse your righteousness. Lay out your identity in alignment with My covenant, and let us examine it together.”

But this is not about performance-based righteousness—it is positionalrighteousness. The same root appears in verses where God calls His people justified, or “in right standing.” The word for “argue your case” also shares ties with “shaphat” (שָׁפַט)—to judge, vindicate, or govern.

In short: God is inviting us to speak from our seat—to govern from our granted position.

Revelation Hidden in Plain Sight

This is not just a legal plea. It’s a revelation of spiritual governance. And the key lies in that single word: position.

God is not asking us to emotionally justify ourselves. He’s asking: Do you know where you stand?

Not how you feel.

Not how others see you.

Not what the enemy accuses.

But: Where are you positioned in Me?

And if you don’t know, you cannot “be proved right.” The enemy will accuse. The storms will distract. But God is saying—if you’ll remind Me, I’ll remind you.

And He is not forgetful. The call to “Remind Me” is not for His sake. It is for ours.

It echoes the phrase from Isaiah 62:6–7:

“You who remind the Lord, take no rest for yourselves…”

(Isaiah 62:6)

We are watchmen and petitioners—not passive bystanders.

Numerical Revelation: Isaiah 43:26

Let’s break it down.

  • Chapter 43 – In Hebrew thought, 40 symbolizes testing and transition (think wilderness), and 3 symbolizes divine completeness. Together, 43represents a complete shift out of trial into authority.

  • Verse 26 – The number 26 is the gematria of YHWH (יהוה)—the sacred name of God.

So in Isaiah 43:26, the very number declares the nature of God in the verse where God asks you to remind Him of your nature in Him.

It’s as if God encoded His name into the coordinates of your right to boldly speak.

I Hear the Spirit say…

“I have made you a co-heir. But many of you live like beggars.

You approach Me with shame, when I’ve clothed you with righteousness.

You second-guess your standing, when I’ve sealed it in My blood.

Daughter, son, remind Me—not because I forgot—but because you did.

You forgot the authority I gave you.

You forgot the seat I prepared for you.

You forgot that when you speak My Word, angels respond.

You forgot that inheritance is not earned—it is received.

You forgot that righteousness is not fragile—it is finished.

You forgot that your voice carries weight because it echoes Mine.

You forgot that heaven listens when covenant speaks.

So I am asking you to speak—not from fear, but from faith.

Not from emotion, but from position.

Stand in your seat.

Govern from your grace.

Declare from your desk of righteousness.

You are not on trial anymore.

You are seated with Me.

You are not trying to be approved—you are already accepted.

You are not pleading for access—you have already been invited.

You are not fighting for authority—you are learning to use it.

Remind Me.

Rehearse the truth.

Plead the blood.

Proclaim the covenant.

And watch as you are proved right—not because of your strength, but because of your seat.”

How to Apply This Now

  1. Remember Your Seat

Ephesians 2:6 says you are seated in heavenly places in Christ. When you pray, plead, or speak, imagine yourself there. Not beneath—but above.

  2. Speak the Word Back to God

Use Scripture not as a book of wishes, but as a legal document. Remind God of what He said—not because He forgot, but to activate your alignment.

  3. Write Your Position

Journal your “position paper” with God. State who He says you are, what promises apply to you, and what you are declaring based on the blood of Yeshua.

  4. Pray Like a Governing One

Not begging. Not hoping. But ruling with humility and fire. Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you how to plead your case from righteousness, not from insecurity.

Final Thought

To “state your position” is not pride—it is partnership.

Yeshua faced the accuser in the wilderness not with emotion, but with identity. “It is written…” was His position paper.

So, what will you write today?

What will you remind God of—so you remember it too?

Because in that moment…

Your spirit will stand up straighter.

Your heart will realign.

And Heaven will say:

Case dismissed. Petition granted. Daughter justified. Son vindicated.

Because you knew your position.

And you spoke from it.

Prayer Declaration: “I State My Position” — A Covenant Pleading from the Courts of Heaven

Abba Father,

I come before Your throne, not as a beggar but as a blood-bought child, seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus, just as You declared in Ephesians 2:6. I stand on that position. I take my seat in the Spirit now. I align with what You have spoken, and I remind You—not because You have forgotten—but because You told me to.

According to Isaiah 43:26, You said:

“Remind Me. Let us plead together. State your position that you may be proved right.”

So here I am, Lord.

I state my position: I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21).

I am justified by faith and have peace with You (Romans 5:1).

I am not under accusation—I am under covenant.

I am not in bondage—I am in boldness.

I remind You of Your Word, and I declare it into the atmosphere now:

“No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that rises in judgment I shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and my righteousness is from You.”

(Isaiah 54:17)

So I condemn every lie, every whisper of doubt, every accusation of the enemy. I wield Your Word as my sword.

“The Lord will fight for me, and I shall hold my peace.”

(Exodus 14:14)

So I silence the noise. I choose peace. I invoke divine warfare on my behalf.

“Bless the Lord, you His angels, mighty in strength, who do His Word, obeying the voice of His Word.”

(Psalm 103:20)

So I speak Your Word out loud, and I release angelic assignment now—go forth, execute the written judgments of the Lord.

“Whatever I bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever I loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

(Matthew 18:18)

So I bind every delay, every distortion, every deception sent to confuse me—and I loose divine order, clarity, provision, and breakthrough.

“It is written…” (Matthew 4:4)

Yeshua used the Word in the wilderness, so I do the same now. It is written—I overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of my testimony (Revelation 12:11). My testimony is this: GOD SAID IT, AND I AGREE.

I declare that I am not beneath—I am above.

I am not without help—I am surrounded by heavenly armies.

I am not confused—I have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16).

I am not voiceless—I am a mouthpiece of heaven.

I take hold of Isaiah 43:26 now and I activate it:

I remind You, God, of what You said. I plead this case not on merit, but on mercy. I state my position: redeemed, commissioned, clothed in righteousness, washed in the blood.

Let every lying spirit be silenced.

Let every crooked place be made straight.

Let every angel assigned to me be loosed with fresh fire and full authority.

Let the Word go forth and not return void (Isaiah 55:11).

Let the courtroom of heaven record this day:

I stood. I spoke. I believed. I ruled.

In the name above every name—Yeshua, my Advocate, my Intercessor, my Righteousness—I declare it done.

Amen and Amen.
