"I will show my love to those who passionately love me, for they will search and search continually until they find me."—Proverbs 8:17 (TPT)
God’s love is not passive; it is pursuant. It does not merely wait for us to stumble upon it, but it draws us, calls us, and meets us as we press into Him. Every moment of seeking, every cry for more, every act of surrender is seen, valued, and met with the infinite well of His affection.
To passionately pursue God is to live with a heart that refuses to settle, one that searches and searches until it finds Him. It is not because God is hiding, but because the journey itself transforms us, preparing our hearts to fully receive the depths of His love. This pursuit is not about earning His affection—it is about discovering how deeply it already saturates our lives.
The God Who Sees Every Turn
"I have seen every turn of your attention toward me. I recorded every surrender of your own will to mine, and have met you every time you cry out to me."
What an awe-inspiring thought: every time you have lifted your eyes to Him, every moment you have whispered His name, every surrender of your will to His—He has seen it all. Nothing has gone unnoticed.
In a world where we often feel unseen or overlooked, God’s attention to detail is a profound comfort. He is not distant, waiting for grand gestures or perfect prayers. He is intimately present, recording even the smallest turns of our hearts toward Him.
The quiet surrender when you chose to forgive instead of harboring resentment.
The tearful prayer when the words wouldn’t come but your heart cried out.
The whispered thanks in the midst of a chaotic day.
These moments may seem small to you, but to God, they are precious. He cherishes them, because each one is a step closer to Him.
The Strength of His Spirit
"I offer you the strength of my Spirit, the power of my love, and the peace of my presence. I withhold nothing from you, for you are my child."
God’s love is not just a feeling; it is a force that equips, empowers, and sustains us. When you feel weak, He offers the strength of His Spirit. When you are overwhelmed, He offers the power of His love to carry you through. And when chaos surrounds you, He offers the peace of His presence—a peace that the world cannot give and cannot take away.
He holds nothing back. As His child, you are the recipient of His full affection, His endless provision, and His unwavering support. There is no half-measure with God. His love is all-encompassing, reaching into every corner of your life.
The Promise of More
"When you press in for more, more you will find."
God’s love is inexhaustible. The more you seek, the more you will find. The deeper you go, the deeper He will reveal Himself to be. This is the beauty of our relationship with Him: there is always more. More grace, more love, more wisdom, more of His presence.
But pressing in requires perseverance. It means seeking Him in the dry seasons, when the answers are slow to come. It means holding on when doubts arise, when life feels heavy, and when the silence seems deafening.
This pursuit is not about striving but about longing. It is about trusting that He is worth every moment of seeking, every ounce of effort. And He promises that those who search continually will find Him—not just pieces of Him, but the fullness of His love.
The God Who Sees Perseverance
"In the days where it is hard to hold on, I see your perseverance, all the same."
There are days when holding on feels impossible. Days when the weight of life presses so heavily that it feels as though you cannot take another step. And yet, even in those moments, God sees your perseverance.
He sees the prayers that feel weak, the faith that feels fragile, and the hope that flickers like a dying flame. And He honors it all. Because to Him, perseverance is not measured by strength but by faithfulness. It is not about never faltering; it is about never giving up.
The Depth of His Love
God’s love is not dependent on your strength or performance. He loves you because you are His. And His love is relentless. It pursues you in your darkest moments, carries you in your weakest, and meets you in your searching.
He sees your seeking and responds with revelation.
He sees your tears and responds with comfort.
He sees your perseverance and responds with strength.
This love is not earned; it is given freely. But it is also a love that transforms. The more you receive it, the more it changes you—shaping your heart to look like His, filling your life with His presence, and empowering you to reflect His love to the world.
An Invitation to Seek
The promise of Proverbs 8:17 is for everyone, but it requires a response. To passionately love God is to seek Him continually, to turn your attention toward Him in every moment, and to surrender your will to His.
This is not a burdensome task; it is a liberating pursuit. For in seeking Him, you find the One who has already been seeking you. And in finding Him, you discover the fullness of His love—a love that changes everything.
So press in. Press in when it’s easy, and press in when it’s hard. Press in when you feel strong, and press in when you feel weak. For every moment of seeking brings you closer to the One who never stops pursuing you.
A Life Defined by Love
Imagine standing before the Lord one day, hearing Him recount every moment you turned toward Him, every time you sought Him, every act of surrender. Imagine Him showing you the fruit of your pursuit—not just in your own life but in the lives of others who were touched by your love for Him.
This is the legacy of a life defined by love: a ripple effect that extends beyond what you can see, touching hearts and changing lives. And it all begins with the choice to seek Him, to love Him, to press in for more.
So lift your eyes. Turn your heart toward Him. Cry out for more. And know that every moment you do, He meets you with the strength of His Spirit, the power of His love, and the peace of His presence. He withholds nothing from you, because you are His child.
And in His love, you will find all that you are searching for—and more.
