The Rains Are Here

You’ve waited.

You’ve watched the sky, dry and unyielding.

You’ve cried out with prayers that felt like echoes,

longing for breakthrough, provision, refreshing—

anything to remind you that you’re not forgotten.

And then one day,

not in thunderous announcement,

but in the whisper of wind and the soft hush on soil—

the rains came.

And now, beloved…

The rains are here.

The Rain Is the Sign

“Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God;

for He has given you the former rain faithfully,

and He will cause the rain to come down for you—

the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.”

—Joel 2:23 (NKJV)

The rain is more than weather.

It’s more than answered prayer.

It’s a heavenly signpost.

When rain falls after a long drought,

it is not just moisture returning to the earth.

It’s God declaring:

“I have heard you. I am restoring what was dry. I am fulfilling what I promised.”

The former rain was for planting.

The latter rain is for harvest.

And both are falling—at the same time.

This is a double portion season.

Not only to refresh you,

but to reveal what’s been maturing beneath the surface all along.

You Have Not Been Wasting Time

The season of waiting wasn’t empty.

It was preparation disguised as silence.

The prayers, the tears, the digging in the dark—

they have not gone unnoticed.

“You have kept track of all my wandering and my weeping.

You’ve stored my many tears in your bottle—not one will be lost.

For they are all recorded in your book of remembrance.”

—Psalm 56:8 (TPT)

Now comes the soaking.

Now comes the increase.

Now comes the moment when Heaven breathes again upon the seeds you thought had died.

They didn’t die.

They were buried for a time such as this.

The Rain Brings Resurrection

What do the rains do?

They revive the soil.

They resurrect the roots.

They unstick what’s been hardened by delay.

The rains are Heaven’s answer

to every moment you wondered if anything would ever shift.

And as they fall,

you will begin to see green shoots—

new beginnings rising in places you had given up on.

This is the hour when the Lord says:

“I am making the desert bloom.

The wilderness will become a well-watered garden.”

(Isaiah 35:1)

The Rain Is Also a Call

Yes, it refreshes.

Yes, it replenishes.

But it also awakens.

When the rains come, so does the responsibility:

to build,

to steward,

to harvest what is now growing.

No more delay.

No more sitting by the window, hoping.

The rain is not the end of the wait—

it is the beginning of your action.

It’s time to rise.

Time to gather the tools.

Time to stretch your hands toward the soil of your calling

and say, “I am ready, Lord. Send me.”

A Personal Declaration: I Receive the Rain

I declare that this is my time of refreshing.

This is my time of harvest.

The rains have come, and I will not miss their meaning.

I will not sleep through the downpour.

I will not ignore the invitation.

I receive the rain.

I receive the growth.

I receive the resurrection of what I thought was lost.

I stand in the open field of Your promises,

and I welcome the flood of Your faithfulness.

A Prayer of Gratitude for the Rains

Yeshua,

Thank You for the rain.

Thank You for the water that falls gently and powerfully at once.

Thank You for the way You soften the soil of my life,

for the dreams You are bringing back to life.

You are faithful.

You are timely.

You are the Lord of the harvest.

I receive this rain not just as relief—

but as revival.

Let it fall over every part of me.

Let it saturate my thoughts,

my gifts,

my calling,

my future.

Let the rain reveal what You’ve been doing beneath the surface all along.

I yield.

I praise.

I prepare.

Because the rains are here.

In Your holy name,

Amen.

Final Thought: Don’t Just Get Wet—Grow

Anyone can get caught in a rainstorm.

But only the rooted ones will grow from it.

Let the water reach you.

Let the old be washed away.

Let the dry places drink again.

The rains are here.

Don’t miss the movement.

Step out into the field of fulfillment—

because everything is about to grow.
