ENCIRCLED: THE UNSEEN WARFARE OF JERICHO

As I read this scripture this morning, something shifted.
It was as if the words lifted off the page,
as if heaven leaned in, waiting for me to see what had been hidden all along.
“By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they had been encircled for seven days.”(Hebrews 11:30)
The word encircled burned within me.
It was more than a description of movement—
it was a declaration of spiritual strategy.
And in that moment, I saw it.
Each time they circled, something was happening in the unseen.
With every step, the natural and supernatural collided.
With every lap around the city, the unseen forces began to crack.
With every measured silence, the wraparound presence of the Spirit of God tightened.
The battle was not won when the walls fell.
The battle was won in the encircling.
It was won before a single stone crumbled.
And what they did then—
we are called to do now.
⸻
THE UNSEEN WARFARE OF ENCIRCLING
To the natural eye, Jericho was untouchable.
A city fortified, walls thick, defenses impenetrable.
But God did not call them to attack.
God did not call them to build siege ramps or devise a military strategy.
God called them to circle.
Day after day, they walked.
Step after step, they encircled.
Not a single brick moved, yet in the unseen,
a supernatural war was being waged.
Because encircling is not passive.
Encircling is not meaningless.
Encircling is prophetic action.
Each time they circled in unity, they bound the stronghold.
Each time they walked in obedience, they cracked the enemy’s foundation.
Each time they stepped in faith, the weight of God’s presence pressed against the walls.
What seemed immovable was already collapsing in the unseen.
They just didn’t see it yet.
⸻
THE SPIRITUAL TECHNOLOGY OF ENCIRCLING
Encircling is an ancient divine strategy,
one that is still alive today.
• Encircling in prayer—When we persist, moving around the promises of God, we create pressure in the spirit. What is locked up must break open.
• Encircling in praise—Every step they took was an act of trust, and trust releases the supernatural. The weight of worship is stronger than the weight of walls.
• Encircling in unity—The children of Israel marched together. Unity was their warfare, agreement was their weapon. When believers move in unity, the enemy’s structures weaken.
And most powerfully:
• Encircling in silence.
For six days, they circled without speaking.
No battle cries.
No shouts of frustration.
No desperate pleas.
Just steps.
Just obedience.
Just faith in motion.
And I believe this is where the enemy began to tremble.
Because silence before God is not emptiness—it is alignment.
It is the knowing that God is already at work.
It is unshakable confidence in the unseen movement of heaven.
The strongest warfare is not always loud—
sometimes, it is the quiet authority of relentless obedience.
⸻
THE WRAPAROUND PRESENCE OF GOD
With each lap around Jericho, something unseen wrapped tighter and tighter around those walls.
This was not just an army marching—
this was the presence of Yahweh encircling an enemy fortress.
The wraparound presence of the Holy Spirit pressed against the walls,
suffocating every demonic claim,
weakening every foundation built against God’s people,
collapsing every argument of the enemy.
And on the seventh day—
at the sound of the unified roar—
the walls could hold no more.
They fell not because of human strength, but because they had already been dismantled in the unseen.
What had been bound was now loosed.
What had been fortified was now fractured.
What had once seemed impossible had now become inevitable.
And all of it—
ALL OF IT—
happened because of encircling.
⸻
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
What Jericho are you encircling?
What walls seem unmovable in your life?
What prayers have you been walking around, waiting for the breakthrough?
Do not be deceived by what looks unshaken.
If God has called you to circle it,
then something is already happening in the unseen.
The silence is not inactivity—it is God applying pressure.
The waiting is not delay—it is the unseen cracking open.
The obedience is not wasted—it is building to the moment where the walls can no longer stand.
Do not stop marching.
Do not stop praying.
Do not stop believing.
Your circling is not in vain.
Your encircling is warfare.
Your obedience is pushing the enemy into collapse.
And when the time is right,
when your obedience has reached fullness,
when heaven gives the command,
your walls will fall.
⸻
DECLARATIONS OF VICTORY THROUGH ENCIRCLING
By Your Word, Lord, I declare:
• “By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they had been encircled for seven days.” (Hebrews 11:30)
I declare that my obedience is shaking things in the unseen.
• “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them.” (Psalm 34:7)
The wraparound presence of God surrounds me and secures my victory.
• “Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 18:18)
My encircling is binding the enemy’s works and loosing heaven’s power.
• “Do not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” (Galatians 6:9)
I will not grow weary—I will persist until the walls fall.
⸻
A PRAYER TO ENCIRCLE AND CONQUER
Father,
I will not be moved by what I see.
I will not be discouraged by what looks unshaken.
I trust that as I obey, heaven is moving on my behalf.
Wrap around me with Your presence.
Encircle my battles with Your power.
Tighten Your grip on every stronghold that stands in my way.
I will walk in faith.
I will move in obedience.
I will encircle the promises You have given me until they manifest.
Let my feet be steady.
Let my steps be bold.
Let my confidence be unshaken.
Because what I cannot see is already shifting.
What looks unmovable is already breaking.
What appears impossible is already collapsing.
And when the moment comes,
when the final step has been taken,
when the final decree has been declared—
I will not whisper.
I will not doubt.
I will shout with the sound of victory,
and I will watch the walls fall.
In the mighty name of Jesus,
Amen.
⸻
FINAL DECREE: CIRCLE UNTIL THE WALLS FALL
The victory is already written.
The walls are already weakened.
The unseen has already shifted.
Now, you keep circling.
Circle it in faith.
Circle it in trust.
Circle it in the unshakable confidence that when God calls you to march,
the walls do not stand a chance.
March boldly.
Step fiercely.
Keep circling.
Because your walls must come down.
