The Down Payment of Glory

You have free access to My presence at all times. The door is never closed; the way has been made open through the blood of Jesus. It is not a place you have to strive to reach, nor is it reserved for moments of perfection. I am here, with you, always. And as a promise, as a seal of My love and your freedom, I gave you the Holy Spirit—the breath of heaven, the living flame, the whisper that stirs your soul in the quiet hours. The Holy Spirit is not just a companion; He is My guarantee that you are Mine and that you are free.

The Unleashing of the Spirit: A Promise Fulfilled

Have you ever thought about what it meant before Jesus’s ascension, when the Holy Spirit had not yet been poured out? Before that moment, the Spirit was at work but in limited measure—moving through prophets, empowering judges, stirring kings, guiding Israel with a pillar of fire by night and a cloud by day.
